Valencia offers a plethora of options to make the most of your time here. Among the top experiences is our bike tour to the City of Arts and Sciences, an absolute must-visit. You simply can't leave Valencia without exploring this incredible destination.

So, what does this adventure include? We'll kick off our bike tour at the Torres de Serranos, ancient gothic gates that once formed part of the city wall, protecting Valencia from invaders. Your guide will delve into the history of this remarkable monument.

Next, we'll head to the "lungs" of the city, Parque del Turia. This park is situated on the former Turia River bed, which once flowed through the city. Today, it stands as one of Spain's largest urban parks, boasting lush botanical gardens and green spaces showcasing the richness of Mediterranean flora. With over nine kilometers of playgrounds, sports fields, and tranquil nooks to escape the heat, it's the ideal route for cycling.

Before we reach our main objective, the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia, we'll make a stop at the renowned Palau de la Música de Valencia. This palace is a symbolic gem of Turia Park and a prominent musical center in Europe. If you're a fan of classical music, we recommend booking a concert ticket in advance.

The next highlight on your adventure is Gulliver Park, an impressive playground featuring a giant statue of Gulliver, where both children and adults can have fun sliding and imagining themselves as Lilliputians.

Finally, we'll arrive at our destination—a must-see marvel of Valencia. Through the Turia Gardens, we'll encounter the glorious futuristic architecture by Santiago Calatrava. The City of Arts and Sciences is an enchanting complex comprising six unique buildings dedicated to scientific and cultural achievements, becoming a symbol of the city.

Within the complex, we find l'Oceanogràfic, Europe's largest oceanarium and a unique space in the City of Arts and Sciences. Then there's the Hemisfèric theatre, an IMAX 3D cinema with incredible digital projections. The Príncipe Felipe Science Museum represents the scientific aspect of the city, housing many interactive exhibits where visitors can conduct experiments, participate actively, ask questions, and expand their knowledge of science. The Palacio de las Artes Reina Sofía, a helmet-shaped building, is dedicated to hosting major opera performances. We'll also enjoy a perfect view of the stunning landscape pavilion of the botanical garden, "l'Umbracle." Finally, we'll see El Ágora, a space used for tennis matches and various concerts.

The entire complex is awe-inspiring, not just due to its enormous size, but also because of its expressive architectural design and the crystal-clear water surrounding the buildings. At Pelican Bikes, we're delighted to be your guides on this Valencia adventure. Feel free to ask us anything during the tour. If you wish to spend more time at a particular spot, just let your guide know. Our goal is to ensure you have the best experience possible, and we're happy to customize the tour according to your preferences.
